Acts of the Apostles A commentary by Frazier
Conley Our Price: $12.95 |
| About the Book:
Luke is the most reasonable suggestion for identifying that companion of Paul who wrote the 'we' passages (Acts 16:10-17; 20:5-15; 21:1-18; 27:1-28:6). This conclusion is supported by early church tradition (see the Muratorian Canon; the anti-Marcionite Prologue to Luke; Irenaeus, Against Heresies1; Clement of Alexandria, Adumbr. in 1 Peter, and Tertullian, Adv. Marcionem 2). See also the discussion of 'Date. It is not easy to formulate a single 'purpose' of Luke in writings Acts.'
