| About This Book:
The book of Colossians contains the essence of true Christianity, 'and ye are complete in Him'. (Colossians 2:10). This epistle exalts Jesus Christ as: the agent of creation, the One who controls the universe, the head of the church, the one who has made known God's will for the lives of men. This inspired epistle drives home to the honest heart what faith in Christ really means to life and to destiny, ' Christ in you the hope of glory'. (Colossians 1:27). This epistle brings ' together into the space of four concise chapters what is perhaps the most complete and compelling single revelation of the person, place, and work of Jesus Christ' in all the Bible. The forces of evil have constantly challenged the completeness of Christ. Since this challenge the completeness of Christ. Since this challenge is so real in our day the message of Colossians is relevant. The Truth, 'ye are complete in Christ' needs to be proclaimed from the pulpit, declared in classes, taught by means of radio, television, and the printed page. Men need to understand that all spiritual needs are potentially satisfied by, in, and through Jesus Christ. men 'do not need some higher teaching to achieve perfection, for in Christ they are complete'. |
