About This Item
From its beginning in 1906, Abilene Christian University has existed as an institution of higher education to serve the fellowship of the Churches of Christ. While we welcome students and supporters from a variety of Christian traditions who are sympathetic with our Christ-centered focus, we know who our primary constituents are. ACU's Bible Department, now the College of Biblical Studies, has for almost a century been a guiding light for our fellowship through its contributions in Christian scholarship and ministry. Thousands of missionaries, ministers, elders, teachers, and Christian servants have come under the positive influence of these godly professors. They have steadfastly upheld the lordship of Christ, the authority of the Scriptures, and the necessity of living a life of Christian service through the church. |
